VAUGHAN STAR JR. A HOCKEY CLUB JOINS GMHL

NEWS RELEASE - May 22, 2011

"We are excited to announce that the VAUGHAN STARS JR. A HOCKEY CLUB has officially joined the Greater Metro Jr. A Hockey League, led by Vaughan Stars President Andrej Kluka from Slovakia.

The primary focus was to find an experienced Head Coach and a top notch facility.

Jim Aldred joins the Stars as the full-time professional Head Coach with an exceptional accredited player and coaching history.  Jim brings advanced systems and team discipline to the Vaughan Stars' mission to become the top developmental team accomplished through a strong player roster that is comprised of players from both Europe and North America.

This team looks to offer both competitive, challenging and high level playoff hockey, with a program geared towards the success of the players, both individually and as a team.  These attainments within the first year can become achieved only through the active involvement of the professional coaching staff, advanced training programs, and state of the art playing facilities.

We look forward to seeing you there and bringing the great experience of Jr. A hockey to the City of Vaughan and the hearts of the young players.
