Bradford Rattlers to play against Division III Lakers

Bradford at SUNY Oswego - October 16, 2010

July 7, 2010
Rattlers to play top Division 3 Oswego; will look to GMHL to supplement lineup!
The GMHL is pleased to announce that SUNY Oswego Head Coach Ed Gosek has invited the Bradford Rattlers to play the Lakers on October 16, 2010.
This game will act as their university's unofficial home opener, a game which the Lakers expect will draw a near capacity crowd of over 2,100 fans!
Oswego has been a model of consistency in Division III hockey, finishing atop the SUNYAC standings in five of the last seven years, including a NCAA Division III championship in 2007.
The Rattlers have several returning players from their 09-10 squad, but considering the quality of the opponent, have chosen to supplement the team for this game with the help of other clubs around the league.
Any top players from around the league are invited to attend the World Hockey Centre's summer training program at their home rink in Bradford, the Bob Fallis Arena from August 23 to 28.
This is the high level program that runs through the day, and consists of players from all over the world, some of which will play in the league come this season, and some playing elsewhere, but skating with the WHC to get into top shape for the upcoming season.  Victor Hedman, the #2 Overall NHL draft in 2009 from Sweden trained at the WHC for 2 straight summer sessions.
The cost of the week for GMHL players is $500. for the daytime program alone, or $650. for the complete 'in-residence' camp.  Rattlers staff will use this week as a tryout process specifically for the Oswego game, but keep in mind that the final week of camp will have coaches in attendance from the ECHL's Kalamazoon Wings and Elmira Jackals (who signed Rattler star forward Artem Podshendyalov for this season), Louisianna Ice Gators of the Southern Pro Hockey League, as well as Oswego's coaching staff, either Head Coach Gosek, or Assistant Coach Dan Ford.
For further information, contact the WHC offices at 1-800-905-0270, and ask for Rattler Head Coach Johan Lundskog.
