The GMHL is proud to announce the expansion of it's Western Division with the addition of Fox Creek, AB.

The team will be participating in the 2020-21 season out of the new $32M Fox Creek Greenview Multiplex, which boasts amenities like an attached gym, aquatic centre, yoga and dryland areas, a massive dedicated home team dressing room and team office.

With a signed lease agreement granting the GMHL team multiple years of operation, Fox Creek is joining High Prairie, Slave Lake and the Northern Alberta Tomahawks into it's already-successful West division. Division spokesman Dr. Derek Prue commented "Fox Creek fits in perfectly with our footprint and demographic for success. It's amazing; every weekend, every game is high intensity and evenly matched with tons of overtimes. We are very excited to have Fox Creek join the division and ensure continued growth and success. Expect other near-term announcements about player advancement and expansion!".

League President and Founder Bob Russell added " Congratulations to the Town of Fox Creek and Derek Prue and his West Division staff on the addition of Fox Creek to our GMHL West Division. Fox Creek is a great town and hockey market to have in our league. It helps move us one step closer to a National Championship for the GMHL. "

The club name is currently being voted on and will be announced shortly.
