The Players of the Month honor is a distinction awarded to the player who is judged the best at their position and the top rookie (2007-born or younger and in their first year of junior hockey) based on their performances. These awards celebrate the skill, consistency, and impact of players who have made significant contributions to their teams.

Forward of the Month: Emil Mouantri (Wasaga River Dragons)
Emil Mouantri, a crucial part of the Wasaga River Dragons’ offense, had a sensational month of November, amassing 16 goals and 16 assists (32 points) over thirteen games. The 2004 Swedish born Mouantri’s blend of scoring prowess and playmaking ability was on full display, as he played a pivotal role in Wasaga’s strong 9-2-1 record for the month.
• Key Performances:
o A 4-goal night in a 7-3 win over the Ravens, earning him First Star honors.
o Dominant showings against the Becard, including 5 point efforts efforts in back-to-back games.
o 2 goals and an assist in a crucial 7-1 win over Le Becard.
With 2 Game Winning and 6 power play goals and a consistently dynamic presence on the ice, Mouantri has solidified his place as one of the league’s most dominant forwards.

Defenseman of the Month: Owen Brady (Northumberland Stars)
Owen Brady, a 2003-born defenseman and captain of the Stars, delivered an impressive month that highlighted both his offensive contributions and leadership. Brady tallied 8 goals and 11 assists (19 points) in 9 games, helping the Stars post a 6-2-1 record in his appearances.
• Key Performances:
o Scored the game-winning goal and earned First Star honors with 4 goals and 1 assist in a 6-5 victory over the Railers.
o Registered 4 points (1G, 3A) in a 6-4 win over the Flyers.
o Added 3 assists in an 9-6 loss to the Rattlers
Brady’s ability to control play from the blue line and contribute in all facets of the game has made him an invaluable leader for the Stars and showcased why he was a dominant force in the CCHL and an invite to the Florida Panthers Development camp.

Goaltender of the Month: Maxim Audet (Ville-Marie Pirates)
Maxim Audet was the backbone of the Ville-Marie Pirates throughout November, earning a win in all 4 of his starts during the month. The steady netminder posted an impeccable record of 4-0-0, with a 2.25 goals-against average (GAA), a .929 save percentage, and 118 saves.
• Key Performances:
o Stopped 31 shots in a 6-3 win over the Renegades, earning third Star honors.
o Made 41 Saves in a shootout win over the previously undefeated Bradford Rattlers, being named 1st star
o Denied 36 shots in a 9-1 win against the Lynx, earning Second Star recognition.
Audet’s consistency and ability to make clutch saves have made him one of the league’s premier goaltenders this season.

Rookie of the Month: Sterling Poff (Northumberland Stars)
Sterling Poff, a 2008-born rookie forward, continues to make waves in his first season of junior hockey, demonstrating a knack for scoring and playmaking. Poff led all rookies in November with 2 goals and 14 assists (16 points) in nine games, helping the Stars secure a 7-2-0 record during the games he played this month.
• Key Performances:
o Tallied 3 assists in both a 6-9 loss to the Rattlers and an 6-4 win over the Flyers.
o Recorded 2 goals and 1 assist, including First Star honors, in a 8-5 win over the Bulls
o Contributed 2 assists in a key 6-1 win over the Rampage.
