Ville-Marie Pirates Sweep Le Becard De Senneterre to Advance to North Division Semifinals
The Ville-Marie Pirates delivered a commanding performance in their North Division Quarter-Final series against Le Becard De Senneterre, winning both games in dominant fashion. The Pirates' offensive firepower and defensive stability proved too much for Senneterre, as Ville-Marie outscored their Quebec rivals 17-3 across the two-game sweep. With the series win, the Pirates move on to face the #2 seed Wasaga River Dragons in the North Division Semifinals.
Game 1: Ville-Marie Takes Control Early in an 8-2 Victory
The series opener at Frere Arthur Bergeron in Ville-Marie saw the Pirates come out firing, outshooting Senneterre 50-19 en route to a decisive 8-2 victory.
First Period: Ville-Marie wasted little time asserting their dominance, scoring three times in the opening frame. Olivier Boucher got the Pirates on the board just over three minutes into the game, followed by goals from Justin Morin and Danick Latour. The Pirates controlled possession, peppering Senneterre goaltender Nathan Dery with 18 shots in the period while allowing only six the other way.
Second Period: Special teams played a key role in Ville-Marie extending their lead. Emeric Gaudet scored on the power play just 2:29 into the period before Senneterre got on the board with a goal from Gabriel Furlong. However, Ville-Marie responded with a power-play tally from Mathis Laverdure, followed by goals from Etienne Parent and Mathis Bernard to put the game well out of reach.
Third Period: The Pirates maintained control, with Bernard scoring his second of the night six minutes into the period. Senneterre managed a late goal from Olivier Joly, but Ville-Marie's Felix Mercier closed the scoring with just 19 seconds remaining to cap off the 8-2 victory.

Game 2: Pirates Complete the Sweep with 9-1 Rout
With a chance to close out the series on the road at Andre' Dube Sport Centre in Senneterre, Ville-Marie wasted no time in taking control, cruising to a 9-1 victory to punch their ticket to the next round.
First Period: Unlike Game 1, the opening period was a tighter affair early on, but Ville-Marie broke through midway as Danick Latour finished a setup from Mathis Bernard and Tristan Guimond for the lone goal of the frame.
Second Period: The Pirates exploded for four goals in the middle frame, including a shorthanded marker from Olivier Boucher and a pair of goals just 12 seconds apart from Latour and Mathis Laverdure. By the end of the period, Ville-Marie had taken full control with a 5-0 lead.
Third Period: The Pirates continued their relentless attack, adding four more goals, including a pair from Matis Chartier. Mathis Bernard also added a goal and three assists in another standout performance. Senneterre broke Maxim Audet’s shutout bid with a goal from Jacob Robert late in the game, but it was little more than a consolation.

Goaltending Battle
Ville-Marie’s Maxim Audet was solid throughout the series, stopping 37 of 40 shots for a .925 save percentage. Meanwhile, Senneterre’s Nathan Dery faced an overwhelming 91 shots, making 74 saves but struggling against Ville-Marie’s potent offense.
