The #5 seed Knights of Meaford pulled off a first-round upset, eliminating the #4 seed West Nipissing Lynx in two straight games to advance to the North Division Semifinals. Meaford took control of the series early, stunning the Lynx on their home ice with a clinical 4-1 victory in Game 1. Despite being outshot 51-29, the Knights made the most of their opportunities and relied on an outstanding performance from netminder Karim Agzamov, who stopped 50 of 51 shots.

Game 2 was a thriller, with the Knights needing a shootout to complete the sweep in front of their home crowd. West Nipissing put up a strong fight, erasing deficits multiple times, but Meaford’s resilience shone through in a dramatic finish.
