GMHL Announces Our Executive Power Rankings

1. Ric Jackman - Ric was a 2nd round OHL draft pick to the Sault Ste.-Marie Greyhounds, scoring 162 in 179 games.Ric was chosen 5th overall by the Dallas Stars in the 1996 NHL entry draft. He went on to play 8 years in the NHL winning a Stanley cup with Anaheim in 2007. Ric also enjoyed a 20 year professional hockey career.
2. Robert Turnbull - Rob is a long time Coach/Manager with 40 years experience, with the last 20 years having been at the Jr. "A" level. He is also a former PGA Head Professional and a successful business executive.
3. Ryan Ramsay - Ryan was a first round pick to the OHL's Peterborough Petes and later signed with the St. Louis Blues where he played 3 seasons with their AHL affiliate club. Ryan also played 8 seasons in Germany's Elite League and last year was named GMHL's Coach Of The Year.
4. Kahlil Thomas - Kahlil enjoyed several years in professional hockey gaining experience in the AHL, ECHL and CHL. He was voted Most Valuable Player in the CHL in 2003.
5. Frank Demasi - Frank attended and played for Lake Forest College in Illinois where he played 4 seasons of NCAA hockey. Frank also played 8 seasons of professional hockey in Europe.
6. Jeff Zehr - Jeff was a 1st round pick the the OHL's Windsor Spitfires, and was also drafted 31st overall by the New York Islanders in the 1997 NHL entry draft.
7. Matt Hamilton - Matt played ACHA hockey at Utah State University where he obtained his bachelor's degree, Health & Physical Education/Fitness. He also played professional hockey in North America and Europe.
8. Bob Russell - Bob served as captain of the OHL Sudbury Wolves putting up 206 points in just 197 games, while scoring 51 goals in his last season. He then played 2 years with the Edmonton Oilers in the WHA before signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He later became the founder of the GMHL.

I would like to thank all of the members of the 2017/18 GMHL power rankings executive for their commitment to this project. In the next several days, players, parents and fans will be able to see the first ranking list that will consist of the top 20 pro rated GMHL prospects and the top 20 College rated GMHL prospects (North & South). Newsworthy events will also be mentioned regarding feedback from Colleges and pro teams.
