Bradford, Ontario- The GMHL is proud to release its choices for Players of the Month for the month of December. To recap, last months Players of the Month for the month of November were Anthony Mota of the St. George Ravens (Forward), Dayton Murray of the Temiscaming Titans (Defence), Brock Makolz of the New Tecumseth Civics (Goalie), and Brayden Morris of the Bradford Rattlers (Rookie). Now here are the Players of the Month for December.

Forward – Anton Trublin (Bradford Bulls)

Anton Trublin is a tremendous player, and has one of the best resumes in the league. Trublin is an OHL Draft Pick, going 243^rd Overall in the 13^th Round in the 2013 OHL Draft for the Windsor Spitfires. Although Trublin never saw time in the OHL, he still has five-years of junior hockey under his belt, including a championship in 2014-2015 in the GOJHL with the Caledonia Corvairs. Now in his sixth season of juniors, Trublin has been a driving force for the Bulls. He is 3^rd in the GMHL for Assists (50) and 4^th in Points (74). On his team his is first across the board in Goals (24), Assists (50), and Points (74). In December alone Trublin has been involved in 13 of the 16 Goals the Bulls Scored. He earned the honours of First Star of the Game in a game against South Muskoka on December 5^th where he had a stat line of 2 Goals and 5 Assists in a 7-2 Win against the Shield. Trublin has also received the honours of being named a GMHL All-Star for Team College North. The Bulls hope that Trublin can continue his dominance for them in the New Year.

Defence – Bryce Martin (Niagara Whalers)

Bryce Martin is in his fifth year of junior hockey, and is an important part of the Whalers. The Whalers had themselves a good December, in the GMHL Power Rankings, they went from unranked to #9 due to their 7-3-1 record on the month. Martin definitely had an impact on their jump up in the Power Rankings and Standings in December. Martin scored a point in every game in December, with 22 Points in 8 Games for the Whalers. Over the course of 8 Games, Martin was First Star of the Game once (2 G 2 A 4 PTs), Second Star of the Game twice (1 G 1 A 2 PTs; 3 G 1 A 4 PTs), and Third Star of the Game once (1 G, 2 A 3 PTs). Martins play over the season, and especially the month of December has earned him the honours being selected to the GMHL All-Star Game, where he will be playing for Team College South. The Whalers hope that Martin can keep up his impact with the team, and bring them up further in the Power Rankings and Standings in the New Year.

Goalie – Allan Menary (Knights of Meaford)

Menary is a four-year junior veteran, and is in his fifth of juniors with the Knights of Meaford. Menary had himself a good December with a 6-3 record, where he saw the First Star of the Game twice (Stat Lines: 44 SA, 42 Saves, .955 Save %; 60 SA, 55 Saves, .917 Save %), Second Star of the Game once (Stat Line: 27 SA, 25 Saves, .926 Save %), and Third Star of the Game once (Stat Line: 37 SA, 35 Saves, .946 Save %). Within the league Menary has been consistent in every category and is in the top ten for every category including: 7^th in Wins, 8^th in SA, 8^th in Saves, 8^th GAA (Minimum 10 GP), 10^th in Save Percentage (Minimum 10 GP). Menary also received the honours of being named one of the Goaltenders for the GMHL All-Star Game, on Team College North. The Knights are happy to have Mennary as their starter, and they are hoping he can continue with his pace of play.

Rookie – Cameron Carvalho (Tottenham Steam)

Cameron Carvalho is one of the best hockey prospects in the league this year. Carvalho is an OHL Draft Pick, going 187^th Overall in the 10^th Round in the 2017 OHL Draft for the Sudbury Wolves. Deciding to make the jump to junior hockey this year, Carvalho has already become the undisputed starter at just 17 years old.  Carvalho had a good month with a 2-2-1 record in December, First Star of the Game in both wins (Stat Lines: 45 SA, 45 Saves, Shutout, 1.00 Save %; 53 SA, 50 Saves, .943 Save %) and Second Star of the Game in one of the losses (Stat Line: 60 SA, 56 Saves, .903 S%). Carvalho has also gotten into the top ten in some notable categories this season as well including: 2^nd in Shots Against, 2^nd in Saves, 8^th in Wins, and 9^th Save % (Minimum 10 GP). Carvalho has also received the honours of being named one of the Goaltenders for the GMHL All-Star Game, on Team College South. The Steam are happy to have this tremendous prospect on their team, and they are hoping that he will continue to develop while with them.
