Game of The Week: North York Travels to Bradford to Battle for First Place in the South

Both team will be putting their undefeated records on the line tonight at the Bob Fallis Arena

This weeks’ GMHL game of the week feature the two undefeated teams of the South Division. The Bradford Bulls (9-0-0) will host the North York Renegades (9-0-0) at the Bob Falls Arena.

So far this season the Bulls have scored 76 goals and allowed 12 while posting a 22.5% power play and a 96% penalty kill. Players in good form this season are #10 Ryan Hunter who scored 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 9 games. #18 Conner Gardiner with 8 goals and 9 assists for 17 points in 9 games and #91 Esa Patton with 6 goals 11 assists for 17 points in 9 games. In net, goaltender Dominic Marquis has a goals against average of 0.86 and a save percentage of .972 and a 5-0-0 record. The Bulls will be looking to take the momentum of their 8-2 win in their last game versus the Northumberland Stars.

The Renegades posted 67 goals for and 19 goals against  while having a 28.1% power play with a 92.3% penalty kill. Top performers for the Renegades are #77 Ryan Fritz who has 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points in 9 games. #16 Joseph Lionti scored 6 goals and 17 assists for 23 points in 8 games and #76 Jedidja Somersall with 3 goals and 16 assists for 19 points in 9 games. In net, the Renegades have been able to count on veteran goaltender Nicholas Lewicky who has a goals against average 2.56 and a save percentage of .924 for a 5-0-0 record. In their last game, the Renegades posted a 8-7 win versus the Northumberland Stars and will be looking to follow their offensive performance against the Bulls.

This game will determine the last undefeated team in the South division, make sure to not miss out on any of the action at 8PM in Bradford.
