Tuesday December 13th saw the first day of the Greater Metro Junior Hockey League showcase. Teams in the North and South Divisions showcased their talents in front of fans, scouts and team executives. The games started at 10AM and ended around 5PM and provided a lot of entertainments for people in attendance.

The first game saw the North Division leaders Bradford Rattlers play the second place of the South Division Durham Roadrunners. The highly contested game saw the Rattlers take the win 5-4. The stars of the game were all from the Rattlers as Jesper Eriksson (1G 2A) got the first star, Olivier Balazs (37SV, .902 SV%) got the second star, and Jacob Rhodin (3A) got the third star. Other notable performances were Mikael Simon-Serroul (1G 2A), Hayden Webster (1G 1A), Kyle Smith (1G 1A), and Georgi Trofimov (2G).

The second game saw the Meaford Knights battle the Tottenham Thunder. A one sided affair saw the Knights take the win 8-1. The three stars of the game were all Meaford as Declan Flanagan (1G 1A) got the first star, Cale Puzey (29SV .967 SV%) got the second star, and Tomas Coupek (4A) got the third star. Other notable performances were Post Piper (1G 2A), Riley Lavallee (2G), and Cody Gibbons (1G 1A).

The third game was the South Division Niagara Predators versus the North Division South Muskoka Shield. A hard fought game saw the Shield take the win 3-0. The three stars of the game were given to Yaroslav Chebanu (28SV SO) with the first star, Dennis Golovatchev (1G 2A) with the second star, and Braedon Mitchell (1G 1A) with the third star. Other notable performances were Ryan Santini (34/37 SV),  and Triston Sorenson (1G).

The fourth game of the day was all offence as the South Division Bradford Bulls played the North Division Temiscaming Titans. The Bulls came out on top with a 8-6 win. The three stars of the game went to Emile Lavallee (3G 1A), Luke Camara (2G 1A), and Elias Name (1G 2A). Other notable performances were Jake Alton (2G), Ryan Hunter (2A), Haiden Lambert (2A), Christopher Fanfan (1G 1A), and Massimo Doyle (1G 2A).

The fifth game was another one sided score where the West Nipissing Lynx beat the St. George Ravens 6-1. The three stars of the game were Joel Rainville (29SV .967SV%) with the first star, Liam Thor (2G) with the second star, and Braden Simon (2G) with the third star. Other notable performances were Mathieu Savignac (2A), and Anna Abend (2A).

The sixth game gave us a battle with the Northumberland Stars and the All-Star Game hosts, the Bancroft Rockhounds. The Stars took the win by a score of 4-1. The three stars of the game went to Caedmon Bellmann (33SV .971) with the first star, Bo Stevenson (3A) with the second star, and Jayden Cumming (1G 1A) with the third star. Other notable performances were Justice Scheltgen (1G 1A), and Felix Tougas (1G).

The seventh game of the day saw the North York Renegades versus the Ville-Marie Pirates. After taking the lead 2-0 early in the first, the Renegades were unable to stop the Pirates who scored 8 consecutive times to win the game 8-2. The three stars of the game went to Jordan Briere (2G 3A) with the first star, Xavier Gagnon (1G 3A) with the second star, and Mathis Chartier (2G) with the third star. Other notable performances were Jordan Riviere (1G 1A), and Dylan Labelle (1G).

The final game of the day saw the Streetsville Flyers play the Windsor Aces. The Aces took the victory by a score of 4-3. The three stars of the game went to Samuel Senft (2G 1A) with the first star, Ben Hardy with the second star and Taste Pracek (40 SV .909SV%) with the third star. Other notable performances were Ryder Hinich (1G 1A), justin Sheets (34/37SV) and Anthony Arthurs (2A).
