South Division 2023 Award Winners

The GMHL is proud to announce this seasons south division award winners

The GMHL is proud to announce this season’s award winners. Although a lot of players have shown a great showing, these awards can only be named to a select number of players. This year, each division has a winner for the following awards: Most valuable player, Best forward, Best defensive forward, Best defense, Best Goalie, Rookie of the year, Most heart, Most sportsman, and Best coach. The GMHL would like to congratulate the following winners, as voted by the members of the GMHL, as well as give mention to the runner up’s of each award.

Most Valuable Player:

Ryan Hunter of the Bradford Bulls

Runner Ups: Ryan Fritz (North York Renegades), Kyle Smith (Durham Roadrunners)

 

Best Forward:

Ryan Fritz of the North York Renegades

Runner Ups: Ryan Hunter (Bradford Bulls), Hayden Webster (Durham Roadrunners)

 

Best Defense:

Esa Patton of the Bradford Bulls

Runner Ups: Jedidja Somersall (North York Renegades), Jeremy Rottke (Streetsville Flyers)

 

Best Goalie:

Zane Clausen of the Niagara Predators

Runner Ups: Nicholas Lewicky (North York Renegades), Justin Sheets (Windsor Aces)

 

Best Defensive Forward:

Tyler Arthurs of the Windsor Aces

Runner Ups: Kyle Smith (Durham Roadrunners), Nikolai Salov (North York Renegades)

 

Rookie of the Year:

Simon O Taki of the St. George Ravens

Runner Ups: Blake Tarala (Durham Roadrunners), Nolan Wyers (Niagara Predators)

 

Most Heart:

Hayden Webster of the Durham Roadrunners

Runner Ups: Samuel Senft (Windsor Aces), Tyler Arthurs (Windsor Aces)

 

Most Sportsman:
