The High Prairie Red Wings are GMHL West champions once again!
The Red Wings capped off a dominant season on Monday night with a four-game sweep of the Edson Eagles to win a second of back to back GMHL West Championships.
Led by Theo Cunningham’s 84-point season, and following an opening round bye, the Red Wings were able to sweep both rounds of the playoffs, first against the Fox Creek Ice Kings, and then the Edson Eagles.
The Red Wings followed up last year’s 18-3 1st place record and championship with an even more impressive season, finishing 40-1 including a 60 game winning streak between both seasons and outplaying their opponents nightly proving to be a dominant force in the GMHL
