The Deseronto Storm hosted game two of the South Division Finals Saturday night against the Innisfil Lakers. The Storm were coming off a 9-1 routing of the Lakers Friday. Innisfil didn’t want to be embarrassed again, so they scored first. Deseronto answered back though five minutes later. Darren Anderson scored with help from Max Qwarnstrom and Brad Edwards. The score was tied at one after the first…and the second.
Innisfil took their first lead of the series, scoring 8:29 into the third. Two and a half minutes later Deseronto tied it at two. Jeff Morris, Todd Munden and Cam Edwards combined for the points. Another two and a half later, Clark got a goal and took the lead back. Morris and Bobas got the assists. Then the Lakers got into penalty troubles ending up with three minors at the same time. The Storm’s Max Qwarnstrom with help from Cody Maracle would put some insurance on the game scoring on that power-play with 36 seconds left to clinch game two 4-2.
